The transformation of Mississauga City Hall and Library Squares into a single, coherent public realm – Celebration Square – has helped to revitalize the downtown core of Mississauga and served as a catalyst for economic development and tourism. The initiative was based on the principles of ‘Placemaking’; turning public spaces into vital community places.

The project scope includes: the design of new gardens, water fountains, a skating rink, multiple performance venues, public plazas and lawn, a multi-purpose pavilion, food services, a market structure, and a new, relocated war memorial.
