This city landmark, developed on a very small waterfront landfill site, is a multi-use complex that includes a public school, secondary school, child care and a community centre. The community centre features a central gathering space, with amphitheatre seating, and a cafe that overlooks the building's shared gymnasium. Other community facilities include change rooms, a weight room, dance and aerobic studios, multi-purpose rooms, a youth room, and fully equipped teaching kitchen. The centre is often used for performances, art exhibitions, sports events, and other local activities. The numerous large windows in all classrooms and community rooms offer spectacular views of the skyline and waterfront, flooding the facility with natural light.
