The station is sited in a residential neighbourhood and was designed to be integrated with its surroundings in a seamless way. It is designed to accommodate approximately 185 staff, with flexibility to accommodate anticipated growth up to the year 2026.

In addition to the normal program requirements, this facility includes a prominently sited and easily accessible community meeting room, holding cells, District exhibit storage, specific common project rooms, and a fitness centre. This design has been utilized as the basis for the subsequent development of the No. 2 District Facility in Oakville.
