The Ojibway Hotel is a century-old designated heritage property owned by the Cottagers Association in the islands of Georgian Bay. CS&P Architects has worked with the association over many years, carrying out a master plan program aimed at retaining the character of the heritage buildings while designing new facilities to replace out-dated structures. As well as restoration work, this involved improvements to the hotel’s fire and life safety systems, expanding access to previously unused floor areas and ensuring the building meets the present and future needs of the cottage community. The project received a Heritage Award from the Ontario Wood Works Association.
